Sharon Sacks, the producer of the Bridal Extravaganza, greets me with a welcoming smile. She exudes the aura of someone always in motion. She’ll be the first to tell you that constant motion is the natural state of a good Bridal Show producer.

The Bridal Extravaganza has been a mainstay of South Bay Bridal Shows since the 1980’s. The level of consistency of the show has been a wonder. Sharon believes that producing a consistent high-quality show requires many ingredients.

First, don’t spread yourself too thin. She produces one fall and one spring show only. This allows her to make each one special, and focus her advertising efforts with greater impact.

Second, have a variety of vendors in all categories. A show with 50 booths of which 20 are photographers doesn’t fly for the Extravaganza.

Third, advertise consistently and uniquely. Sharon utilizes the internet, targeted emails, personalized invitations, public buses, and a variety of cross-industry advertising vehicles to consistently deliver great attendance.

Lastly, invite quality professionals. The Spring Extravaganza is held at the San Jose Fairmont and features more than 100 booths. The Fall Extravaganza takes place at the Santa Clara Marriott and features more than 50 booths. Expect innovation with the Bridal Extravaganza. You could have witnessed over the years Used Wedding Dresses sold on site to help fight breast cancer, a large group of makeup artists doing mini bridal make-overs, and the author of Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus doing a talk on marriage.

It appears that constant motion pays off. ... it's The Bridal Extravaganza Bridal Show.
